The goal for this WOD is to strengthen your core and increase your endurance under stress that you normally would not experience in a board sport.  The overhead movement taxes your breathing after your cruise which puts more stress on your quads while trying to keep your core tight and engaged during the overhead motion.  The twist adds another element that will strengthen your turning while snowboarding and surfing.
